Colorado Snow Forecast for the week of January 15th 2012. This week we are going to see a lot of wind. Tomorrows storm will bring 2-6 inches of fresh snow to the mountains, but the wind is going to be the big story as most of this snow is going to be blown around. Maybe an inch monday night, but through the week several impulses in the NW Flow will bring in snow pretty much through Sunday. The big problem with all of these right now appears that each shot of snow is coming with high winds. Certainly not what we saw a few weeks ago with 126 Mph winds in Breckenridge, but wind brings big sub-zero wind chills which can result in frostbite quickly to exposed skin. May not be a huge issue if you stick to the blues and off the ridge tops, but windy it will be everywhere.
